Northbrook is an applied AI lab.

Our first product is Augmenter: a platform where businesses create, own, and improve purpose-built agents as legible, versioned workspaces.

We met at Yale and previously founded and scaled Lenny, an AI platform for education that reaches more than a million students a year, in thousands of schools, across all fifty US states.

Building Lenny, we put AI agents to work wherever we could, and kept hitting the same limits:

• Codex and Claude aren't purpose-built for the jobs to be done and lock you in to one provider.
• Hermes and OpenClaw agents are broad black boxes, require dedicated maintenance, and drift over time.
• Memory, security, and continual learning are genuinely unsolved.

Augmenter is the platform we wished existed.
